From the snow-capped peaks of the Prizren region to the wild terrain beyond the Arctic Circle, from the expressive movements of freestyle football to the harmony of the body with nature, this year’s Sport on Film program showcases the spirit of adventure, endurance, and filmic creativity through sport.

This program brings stories that go beyond physical performance, revealing personal and cultural journeys and the emotions that push people to exceed their limits.

Transcardus – A BalkanSki Story, premiering at DokuFest, follows the first ski-mountaineering traverse of the Sharr massif, on the border between Kosovo and Macedonia. Led by backcountry skier and mountain guide Enrico Mosetti, and shot in documentary style by the expedition members themselves, the film reveals the wild and unexplored winter beauty of a region that still remains far from the attention of mass tourism, offering a strong contrast to the bustling Alps.

In this edition, extreme outdoor sports also find their place through films that follow mountain bikers on challenging expeditions and spectacular scenes on two wheels, defying gravity and fear.

Whether opening new trails in untouched snow, facing fear on remote cliffs, or stunning freestyle moves across continents, these films explore the intersection of sport, storytelling and adrenaline-filled cinema.

This program is realized in partnership with Red Bull.
